What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese healing art that channels universal life energy through gentle touch or intention to promote balance, relaxation, and natural healing. Traditionally, it’s understood as “spiritually guided life force energy” that flows through all living beings.

From a scientific perspective, Reiki appears to influence the body’s parasympathetic nervous system—reducing stress, slowing heart rate, and improving overall coherence. Recent research suggests it also affects the fascial system, the connective tissue network that transmits mechanical, electrical, and subtle bioenergetic signals throughout the body. By restoring flow through this system, Reiki helps release tension and supports the body’s innate ability to self-regulate and heal.

Do you offer Reiki Classes?

I offer Usui and Holy Fire® Reiki classes upon request, available as private or semi-private trainings. Each course is taught in an intimate, supportive setting, allowing for personalized guidance and integration at your own pace.

Private or Semi-Private Class Rates (CAD):

    •    Level I (Shoden): $300–$400

    •    Level II (Okuden): $400–$550

    •    Master / Holy Fire® Master: $1,200–$1,600

Training includes attunements (or ignitions), hands-on practice, course materials, and certification upon completion. Classes can be scheduled individually or as a series, and are tailored to your level of experience and energetic readiness.

If you feel called to begin or deepen your Reiki journey, please reach out to discuss availability and dates.

What should I do to prepare for my appointment?

Come as you are—no special preparation is needed. Wear comfortable clothing and arrive well-hydrated. You may wish to set a gentle intention for what you’d like to receive or release. Before the session, take a few moments to slow your breath and let your body settle. Reiki works best when you’re open, relaxed, and ready to receive.

After Your Session

Take it easy for the rest of the day if you can. Drink plenty of water, move slowly, and give your body space to integrate the energy shifts. You may feel lighter, more peaceful, or even a bit emotional as energy continues to settle. Rest, nature, and quiet reflection help deepen the healing process.

What is your refund policy?

Your session time is reserved just for you. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged the full session fee. This allows time for others to book and ensures respect for everyone’s schedule.

Cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled or refunded in full. No-shows or same-day cancellations are non-refundable, except in emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.

Is your space wheelchair accessible?

The healing space is located inside a private residence. There is one small step at the entrance and a standard-width hallway leading to the treatment room. While the space is not fully wheelchair accessible, I’m happy to discuss any specific mobility needs in advance to help make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Is there anyone who shouldn't receive Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that can be safely received by people of all ages and conditions. Because it works in harmony with the body’s natural healing processes, there are no known contraindications.

That said, Reiki is not a substitute for medical care, and anyone with serious health concerns should continue to follow the guidance of their healthcare provider. Reiki can be offered alongside medical treatment, counseling, or other therapies to support relaxation, emotional balance, and overall well-being.

For those with pacemakers, recent surgeries, or strong energetic sensitivities, sessions can be adapted to ensure comfort and balance. If you’re unsure, we can discuss your individual needs beforehand.
